What Goes Around.......................

I remember back in the day when new items of clothing would come out and my Mum would be like 'that's so old, that's been out before'  and I was like whatever - no it hasn't...then ran off to the shops to buy it like it was the best thing since sliced bread.

I remember when the A line skirt came out ( I think that was early Secondary school days, so for me around 95/96) and this particular belt that never had a buckle you just inserted the metal piece in a metal circle type thing and it sort of latched in.  My mum was like I used to wear those when I was younger.....these things are just coming back round.

Now I know what she means...

For example brands like Fila and Ellesse are proper making a comeback..  Now I didn't wear these brands when they were out in my day cause I didn't really like them (I was more of a Reebok girl) But it seems there having a revamp and are proper coming back!!!

Now even though these items look cute......I'm not sure I'll be wearing them this time round...just cause I'm more of an Adidas girl now LOL

Well done to the brands on making a comeback though............My Mum was right after all.............

My Jumpsuit Obsession

So recently I've been living in jumpsuits.....and I'm literally obsessed.  The fact its an all in one outfit where I don't have to worry about a top to match the bottoms or bottoms to go with a top is LIFFFFEEE for me right now.  I also think that what with it getting colder right now I'm more in to feeling comfortable and snuggly over style and statement looks (that makes me sound really old hahhahaaaaa)

Basically when the weekends here that's all I live in.  Like how did I not jump on the jumpsuit flex way earlier then this???

My boyfriend even said to me recently 'you love jumpsuits don't you? (as I've been  living in them for the last few weekends lol)
The downfall though is that cause the ones I have are mainly like casual jumpsuits its not like I can wear them to work - cause trust me if I could I would!!

So I have around 6 at the moment...and I've got my eyes on this really nice one from a company called One Piece, I've been really good this year so I'm hoping Santa's gonna get that one for me.

Here's a selection of ones I have already have and ones I've got my eyes on.

I Love me some Solange Knowles - Yes Please!!!!

Now I'm gonna have to confess that I never really knew Solange Knowles to be nothing more than Beyonce's little sister (soz).  I know she has a son and got married a while ago......but that's about it....oh and she wears eccentric outfits from time to time.
I vaguely remember her releasing the odd song here and there however many years ago, but again I couldn't tell you what it was called or even how it went....

But now.......

After my timeline was flooded with Instagram posts regarding her new album A Seat At The Table I had to go see what all the fuss was about.

So yesterday at work I sat there at my desk and listened to the whole album, beginning to end (while still working...obviously) and the verdict is................................................................I love it!!!!

Now this girl right here is on her own path.  This aint no trying too hard to be like her sister type album so if your a hard core Beyonce fan looking for that same type of sound then you'll be disappointed as this album is a total different ball game. But that isn't a bad thing..........Hail no it isn't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Her sound has more of a Neo-Soul/Funk RnB type vibe to it (if that description gives you any idea lol) and kinda puts you in the mind of artists like Erykah Badu, Sade, and my girl Jhene Aiko (I do love me some Jhene).  There's even a song on the album where she slyly sounds a bit like Aaliyah, I think its the Don't Touch My Hair song (which is my fave btw)

So apart from being an amazing album both lyrically and vocally.......the album does touch on the black uprising that is currently going on right now especially with the whole #blacklivesmatter campaign. The album also features interludes from both her Mum, Dad and Master P.

I didn't really know what to expect from this album, like I said I'd never really heard any of her music before and I don't really know much about her as a person.  But I now know so much more, thanks to A Seat At The Table.

The album is amazeballs and I look forward to more music from her in the future

Shes not just Beyonce's sister!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

L'oreal does Afro Curly??!!!!!!

Wondering through the hair product aisle in Boots, I came across this new Curl Nourishment hair range from L'oreal Elvive.  What caught my eye about it even more was that the products stated they were for AFRO and CURLY hair textures...!! (Hold on....L'oreal are doing Afro hair stuff??) My thoughts exactly!

Once I popped my eyes back in to my head I also noticed that they were on special offer (saving on those coins too!!! whats going on??) So I picked up the Shampoo, Conditioner and Oil In Balm
A hair demonstration on these products are on my YouTube video below.

A few weeks after I remembered I hadn't  done a deep condition and remembered that this range came with a hair masque also, so quickly went online and got that ordered.

The masque left my hair feeling extremely soft and it was definitely well nourished. My curls were no longer looking tired and lifeless. It claims to have an amazing fragrance, but the smell of all these items are very very subtle, they do smell nice - just wish the scents were a bit stronger.

I will continue to use these on rotational basis along with my dozen other curly hair stuff...But the main thing about this particular post is that I am so glad that a major brand like L'oreal has finally included got some products that cater for ALL hair types.
As I mentioned in my video, not everyone has European textured hair!

Thank you L'oreal for finally thinking of us Afro/Curly chicks....it took you like forever...but oh well.

#Friendsfest

I went to Friends Fest! :)

If your like me and watch Friends back to back on Comedy Central, know all the jokes and still laugh, say the funny lines before the actors do....and drive your boyfriend nuts by watching all the episodes on an ever so regular basis....then you should of been at Friends Fest!

I never even heard of this event until a few days ago, and as soon as I heard about it - the tickets were booked!
Me and my 'Friends' addict went off to Chiswick not knowing exactly what we were going in to.
Like I had an idea of what was going to be there but my expectations were nothing compared to what was actually there.

So as the name of the event 'FriendsFest' suggests it was basically a festival mixed with an overdose of different  TV sets from the show.
There were food stalls, drink stalls and a large stage screening multiple episodes of Friends.
The 1st set we went to was Central Perk!  We got to play Phoebes guitar whilst singing along to Smelly Cat...yassssssssss huniiii
Then we went on be Rachel and Gunthur by serving coffee inside the coffee house.

I wont bore you with the details of each and every set (i'm sure you get the jist).  - I'll just  let the photos speak for themselves.

Tickets have actually sold out for this event as I write this post, but I have been told that this event is likely to come back round again, so as soon as I know I'll let you know.
So many people have asked me about it...I could slyly see myself going again (is that bad??!lol)

Anyway the pics speak for themselves.......#friendsfest!

Are Wigs still Taboo????

Ok, so back in the day....like way back, wigs were really frowned upon.  Like anyone admitting to wearing a wig was looked back at...like... really??.  But now in 2016 I thought we had moved on from that.

Take an incident at my work place for example.  So there's this girl that works on a different floor to me and I was catching up with her for a gossip en route to the stationery cupboard (oh the joy!). Anyway her hair was looking sooooo flyyyyyy.  Like she had an Ombre thing going on, you know the dark roots with honey blonde at the ends - I loved it! She had these large barrel curls floating through -  It was a good look trust me!

So I was like OMDZ I love your hair....what hair is it??? who did it?? etc...etc.......
She was like Sssshhhhhhh its a wig!

Now I was like rarrrrr thats a good wig...you need to tell me who made it and where you got it from sort of thing, but she was like telling me not to tell anyone (not that I would of) - she was proper scared...bless her!

I'm not sure if it was because we were at work or maybe shes new to wearing wigs or whatever but I thought the whole negative vibe associated with wearing wigs had long gone.  Like I obviously wouldn't expect anyone to run down the street shouting 'IT'S A WIG, IT'S A WIG! but I wouldn't think of wearing one to be in a negative light.

I have friends who happily tell me if their wearing a wig and vice versa.  I personally own several wigs and absolutely LOVE the fact that I can be a red head one day and blonde the next......I freaking love them!  They are also soooooo well made nowadays that you cant even tell (my prime example above) I've had wigs that people have mistaken for sew ins many a time.

They are a really good way of protecting your hair.  Sometimes its good to give your natural hair a break.  I try to switch up my natural hair game with a mixture of crochet braids, cainrows and of course - wigs!  The  added bonus and flexibility of wearing wigs, is the fact you can STILL take care of your natural hair underneath.....just whip that baby off and your all good :)

Its 2016 mayyyyynnnnn wigs are fuuuuuunnnnnnn!! :)

One thing though - they do come with their down sides.  They can damage your hairline if worn consistently so do switch it up now and again cause we NEED those edges girlllllssss LOL

What kills me as well is the wig names....LOL I have seen me a Beyonce, Kelly and Aaliyah wig to name a few.   My first wig was called Tammy (it states quick weave on the box, but its blatantly a wig lol)  Everyone thought that wig was a sew-in also.

Now each to their own at the end of the day, we all have our own insecurities about things so i'm not here trying to tell anyone what to wear or how to be......but! If you enjoy wearing wigs, like the idea of changing it up without damaging you hair then i'm all for it.

Don't feel no way.....and DON'T feel ashamed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE don't wear them in the bedroom either (if you know what i mean)  it ain't a good look...(trust me)......lol

Here are a few from my collection

Oh yh girl (I know your reading this) you still ain't told me who made your wig ....i'll remind you on our next lunch date.

New Summer Scents - Body Fantasies

Whilst out picking up toiletries in Superdrug I came across these new body sprays.
They stood out to me because....... a) I'd never seen them before and b) they had huge promo stickers plastered over them claiming to last long and - that they contain over 500 sprays in each bottle.

They were placed right next to Impulse sprays (which I find smell good for 1 second then disappears) so I thought let me try these.

They had 4 different scents so I picked up all 4 (why not).

The first one is called Pink Grapefruit Fantasy, which is described as Sweet, Refreshing with a Citrus aroma

The second one is called Japanese Cherry Blossom which is described as having top notes of Raspberry, Pear and Plum

The third one is called Pink Vanilla Kiss Fantasy which is described as having a feminine, sweet and uplifting fragrance containing top notes of Grapefruit, and Rhubarb.

Lastly Twilight Mist which is described as rather seductive with base notes of Creamy Musk and Sandalwood.....

So after using these now for a while I can say that they definitely do last longer then say Impulse body sprays for example.  My favourite out of the 4 is Pink Grapefruit Fantasy with Pink Vanilla Kiss Fantasy, coming a close second.   These both smell the sweetest out of the 4 and that's the type of scents I love!!!!!!

The other two smell amazing also but their more of a floral and musky type smell  which is fine if that's the type of scents you go for.

So this range will now be in my handbag as a top up spray.... (Sorry Impulse)
They remind me a lot of Victoria Secrets body sprays but like a more convenient size and affordable alternative.

We all know that perfumes are definitely more longer lasting. But for the days when you don't want to carry a heavy perfume bottle around..... This is a really good alternative.

You can find these at Superdrug for £3.99 for a 94ml bottle

My Curly Girls - Lush Hot Oil Treatment

I must say i'm not the best person when it comes to keeping on top of doing hair treatments - especially hot oil treatments!!

I stumbled across the Lush Hot Oil Treatment when I went in to Lush to see what new bath bombs they had.  A few of the girls in the shop were doing hair demonstrations so I picked up one to see for myself.

Now Lush isnt somewhere I would buy hair stuff from, especially for my hair type.  But they do seem to be branching out more towards the textured hair types.  Earlier on in the year I purchased the Lush Hair moisturiser R&B which again is aimed at curly hair textures.

Hair be on Fleeeek!!!

Now it's weird how this sudden boom of braids and cainrows is all the range right now.  Like my Mums been cainrowing my hair since the 80's and her mums been cainrowing her hair, and my Nana's mums been cainrowing her hair etc etc.... You can see where I'm going with this....

Kinda sad that it takes the Kardashians to throw this historical hair trend in to the popular scene when these hairstyles have been going on way before any of them were born!... Anyway... Rant over lol.

It has however led me to the discovery of this amazing talent, now my new personal stylist (even better she lives in East London so I can pop in whenever for a new look.... Eeek!) Miss Amy!

Her Instagram is covered in various styles and she covers a range of techniques.
My girl can plait, cainrow, twist and weave and she's been perfecting her skills for many years, way back from when her mum bought her a mannequin head to practice on.
Amy has worked at festivals including working alongside brands such as ASOS and Adidas...... She also works with Keashbraids who are often seen at events and festivals.

So if you fancy a new look hit her up..... She's done my hair once already.... And she knows I'm gonna be back to see her over and over again......Thanks again Aims......x

The Perfect Selfie......

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Ever been out whether it's in the club or a bar.... Basically anywhere with crap lighting and your selfie photos come out whack!!!????....... Yer me too... You would of thought the amount I'm forking out on this iPhone 6 they would of made the front facing camera AMAZEBALLS!!!......well it ain't....!!!!
So I've now got me one of those selfie cases.... These first came to my attention when I saw the infamous Kim Kardashian using one aaaaages ago. Since then I've seen all these  different companies doing there own versions.
I got mine from a company called Illumicase.
I chose the white one, but they come in a range of colours and since I got mine I've now seen that they now do them with personalised Swarovski crystals. I think I paid around £20.
I have played around with it indoors and I can definitely see the difference. I've yet to take it out with me for there real test, but I'm sure the pics will come out great judging by the ones I took messing about in my house LOL

So...... Next time your out 'in the cluuuub' and start taking pics with the girls..... Maybe consider getting a light up phone case..... It can make all the difference..... Trust me!

i'm on YOUTUBE....Eeeeeeek!

Now after A LOT of consideration I have now decided to branch out in to the world of YOUTUBE!!!!! (Scary as hell!!!!)

Again, this kind of relates back to the 'About Me' section of my site where I talk about not feeling creative enough in life and want to do more as my 9-5 is so not fulfilling.  Also a lot of nudging and egging on from a few close ones around me telling I'll be fab on it (yerrr right???!??lol) ....
Its so weird I am quite a confident person...but certain things/situations make me go all shy and timid and I feel that I need that extra push to just get me over the hill...when i've already climbed 90% of it already......weird??

So my channel with have a similar feel to my Blog - it will be a lifestyle channel consisting of hair and product reviews, demos, shopping hauls, a few vlogs and a sprinkling of whatever else takes my fancy.

I'm particularly looking forward to my collab video with SINGLESUPERMUMMY called 'How To Get A Record Deal'...we must reach a million views when that comes out cause its gonna be funny as hell!!!!!...........trussss me.....as well as some challenge videos with my brother from another mother
MR ZAC CAMERON.
Gonna try get my boo to do some couples vids as well...but he's gonna take some persuading as he isnt really about that life...so to speak...LOL

So anyway my first video is about some Senegalese twists that I had done a while ago.
I do mix up a few of my words in this first video and the lighting could of been better I also say Errrmmm  quite a lot...but overall I'm happy with it...and I'm quite proud of myself for actually pressing the PUBLISH button for the whole world to see.  Eeeeeeek!!!!!

Have a look if you fancy.....
I do kinda need the views and subscribers though - so it would be nice if you could help a sister out LOL.

Heres you YOUTUBE!

Fried Dumpling in a Dessert????? - OH YERRRRR!!!

Now the idea of a fried dumpling as a desert threw me wayyyy off.   I'm used to having that accompanied with a more savoury dish eg. Ackee and Saltfish, a side to a Caribbean main etc...or for breakfast with my nana's fried plantain....YASSSSSSSSS!!!!!

So when this new shop popped up in my local area with this lady handing out free taster samples I was like naaaa I need to taste this, thinking at the same time is this is really gonna taste nice though???

So I took hubby along to try this out.  I had been telling him about this dumpling desert place for agggesss so after work off we went.

We were welcomed by the 2 owners who gave us such a nice welcome.... We actually got really chatty with them both while the dumplings were being made.  They cracked a few jokes with me and my boyfriend and overall made us feel like we were regulars or something.  Good old hospitality gets you far..... Trust me!  Them days when you order food and the change gets slammed on the counter was NOT present here LOL.

We got to try the Pling Butty while we were waiting, which is like a crisp sandwich but made out of dumpling instead of the bread. Random I know!!!!! But again it tasted so good!

So here's how it works.

Me and hubby both ordered the medium size Pling Dae and you have to choose each layer as shown below.

They have a variety of fillings and sauces to choose from. Who remembers old school Rainbow Drops? Yes they even have those which took me back (I'm showing my age now).

I opted for Chocolate Buttons, Marshmallows and Strawberry sauce.  While my boyfriend got....Crunchie Sprinkles and Strawberry sauce.

We chilled in the sun and ate ours outside the shop and I must say it was very nice indeed!!!
The Dumpling wasn't heavy as you'd think it would be.... It was very light and definitely went well with the ice-cream and fillings.

Would definitely pass through Percy Plings again.... A nice alternative to the typical ice-cream dessert.  I'd need to hit the treadmill afterwards though....lol.... But it's definitely worth it.

So go get Plinged out!.......

Natural Hair Week!

Other then Afro hair and beauty show which I used to go to back in the day, I never really go to hair expos.

But on Saturday 7th May I went to the Natural Hair Event over at Earls Court.  It actually runs for a week all over the UK but Saturday's was in London.

So I went with my new curlfriend Simone (aka hairissimba on Instagram) she is quite well known on the natural hair circuit due to her gorgeous curls.... We met so randomly and just clicked so she invited me to go with her a few days later.

So it's basically a tonne of natural hair exhibitors trying to promote their products. So many well known brands were there such as Cantu, Design Essentials, Mixed Chicks and so on.

Now it was interesting going round to all the different stands and there were even talks and workshops giving tips/tricks and advice on how to look after your hair.
I was there for a couple of hours but the event actually ran all day.
I bought these a curly girl earrings which I thought were soooo cute.

To be honest most of the stalls there, were for you to buy stuff.... Like the freebies weren't rolling out (and who don't love a freebie) which I thought was quite bad as there were a lot of brands that I hadn't heard of.... So a few samples would of been good to take home and try.
They did give you a bag on entry that contained a few sachets... But the sachets never really have enough product in it.... So that was a slight disappointment :(

All in all it was a nice day out.... It's so weird how the natural hair community has got so big now.... From the big chop... to The Curly Girl method.

I have always been natural and never had a relaxer but me and the hot comb were the best of friends when I was in school/ college.....Now I haven't straightened my hair in like over 5 years or something.... I don't even use the hair dryer unless I have to..... No heat please!!!!

Anyway...embrace your hair whatever style you choose.... rock that weave/wig/extensions.... whatever....., but one thing I will say is that......Curly girls rock!

Date night x

Now....you gotta keep things alive when in a relationship. Sometimes you can get bogged down with routine and then things just seem normal.

That's why I stress the importance of date nights.

Me and my boyfriend do try and do these as often as possible cause staying in the yard with a DVD weekend after weekend just ain't cutting it lol. His schedule can be a bit crazy at times so we have to squeeze these in when we can.

So I saw this new Caribbean restaurant type place had popped up in Camden so I thought we'd give it a try ( I do eat other nationality foods other than Caribbean - in case you were wondering lol)
Now this ain't your typical restaurant. To be honest it's kind of like a shack/diner type place.
Like it's quite small and intimate and there's a bar at the front displaying a million and one rums and spirits - I guess that's why it's called Ma Petite Jamaica.

Then you move in to the seating area which I don't think seats more than 30/40 people.
Then the kitchen is directly after that.  You can see, and smell the food being prepared as you sip on a cocktail.

The décor makes you feel as if your dining somewhere in the Caribbean.  Your seated  under these straw like roofs on the table followed by sounds of Reggae music being played in the background.

So the food was lush I must say.  The only thing I would say is there is a slight misinterpretation of Saltfish Fritters. Now I know them to be of a flat nature (Jamaican style) So I ordered these for starters and when they appeared they were quite big and puffy which I think are more what Saltfish Bakes/Bajan fish cakes are like, so that threw me off a bit. They were nice though.

Bae had BBQ ribs which he throughly enjoyed

For Mains I had Jerk Chicken wraps... And Bae had a Jerk Chicken burger....

I can see that place being quite busy in the summer like it's quite a chilled, laid back type place and their vast range of cocktails went down well too. I only got to have 1 as I was the designated driver... But Bae had one in particular called Killer Duppi which contained about 7 different rums!!!!!!!!!!!!

So yh.... Reenii recommends!!!

What's your Guilty Pleasure ???

Now we ALL have one ... You know that one song that we will belt out hard (behind closed doors obviously, cause we wouldn't want anyone to know we actually like the song).  Kind of ashamed to admit it out loud that this song is a tuuuuuuuunnnnnneee!

I listen to mainly RnB, Ragga and Soca so I rarely listen to anything outside of those genres (unless I'm having a throwback moment and want to relive my youth so the Garage and Funky House comes out)

But there is this really cheesy pop track that I do kinda love!!  (can't believe I'm admitting to this).. But it's this song called 'Call Me Maybe' by Carly Rae Jepsen ...............(don't laugh.........lol)

When I randomly hear it (no I don't have it downloaded on my iPhone) on the TV that's me.... I'm off!!! I know most of the words as well .... Sadly....

So there you have it. That's my guilty pleasure song.... I do also love Cheryl Cole's or Cheryl Fernandez Versini... Or no sorry she's just known as Cheryl now as of last week... But yeah her, that  'Say My Name' song gets turned up to about 18 on the volume when I hear it......

Right....now my boyfriends turn......ha!

He's big in to his Rap/Hip Hop and Grime... But he's got a guilty pleasure song too..... Yep even guys have them.

He loves 'Rockstar' by Nickelback which is one hard ass rock and roll type song, a million miles away from the likes of Lil-Wayne and Skepta...... And yep he loves it too.....

Let me leave you now to mull over your guilty pleasure song..... I know you have one!
Don't lie!!!!

Also if you are unfamiliar with mine and my hubby's guilty pleasure songs, I have added them below so you can love them just as much as we do! Enjoy!

Turkish Hammmaaammm!!

Now where shall I start....

I have to compose myself before I write this because as I'm typing I'm remembering how amazing having a Turkish Hammam (aka a Turkish bath) feels... Ooooohh..... Oh my days...

Ok cool right..... Let me explain.

So a good few years now I've been having these. My friend (who happens to be Turkish) introduced this to me and ever since then I've been hooked.

When she first took me I didn't really know what to expect... Like having someone wash you... I was like oh ok cool...
But oh no! It's so much more then that......

Now there are a quite a few around London but the one we always go to is in Marylebone and its called Crystal Palace Spa.

We always go together so if you do go with someone make sure it's someone your comfortable being naked with as you will be exposing practically everythaaaang....My friends seen it all so no problems on that front lol!!!
You can go alone though, you don't have to go with someone..
Anyway back to it....

So it starts off with you getting in to your bikini and sitting in the steam room for about 15/20 mins.  I'm guessing this helps to soften the skin and open your pores up in preparation for the scrub.

Then off to the marble wet room.

So you take your Bikini top off and lie on this heated marble table.  They play soft Turkish music throughout  which is very relaxing.

Then the ladies begin....

They start off giving you an all over body exfoliation. Now they ain't using those  exfoliating gloves you get in Superdrug, I mean they use these rough mitten type things that are much rougher then what you'd use at home. That's because they need to scrub that skin smooth to the point you do see clumps swishing by on the table.
Don't worry  though it's not painful or anything, it's just a more intense clean.  But if you do have sensitive skin then I probably wouldnt recommend it just in case.

Ok so once they've scrubbed you all over front and back... They move on to the soapy massage (this is my favourite bit).

Once your rinsed off from the scrub they massage your body all over (even over them titties) with this amazing soap.  Your skin feels sooo frickin smooth!!!

Once that's done and they've rinsed that off... You then choose whether you'd like a rose, chocolate or honey mask, which they let sink in your skin for 15 mins while they leave the room.
I usually opt for rose one...

So your just there laid out... Practically naked covered in this mask letting all the goodness seep in to your skin.
Relaxed....refreshed... And the cleanest you've ever felt in your life.  Having a normal bath after this experience just isn't the same.... Trust me!

The ladies come back in and then your off to the showers to rinse the mask off.....
Then once your dressed it's all topped off with a peppermint tea..... Aaaaaaaaaarrr

Now I try go for one of these at least once every 3 months.  I would love to go more then that but the weekends tend to fill quite quickly and that's the only time I can really go.

It's not too expensive either.  I only really go via a Wowcher or Living Social voucher deal as booking direct through the site can be more expensive.  Offers are  forever on those sites so it's not like your waiting forever for a deal to come round.  Usually it's 2 people for £80 or 1 person for £45... The whole experience is around 90 mins or so....

So, that's it....
Since I've been going and gassing it up to my mum, she's hooked! She goes more times then I do!

Right... I need to book my next one....

How to love Squats

So...yes the dreaded Squat!

So fortunately for me I am blessed with the right amount of junk in the trunk (Thank You God!!!).....but theres no harm in keeping it tight!!! LOL

So one of the squat routines I do at Zumba class kinda makes the dreaded squats a little bit more fun to do, purely because of the song we're doing it to.

Don't get it twisted it hurts like hell and no amount of music can take that away from you, but when the songs over you can give yourself a pat on the back purely because of the amount squats you have done in 3 minutes and 59 seconds (Jheeze!!)

So the song is called Squat (dont lie???) by Mr Vegas, and basically what you do is squat every time he says "squat" during the track.....LOL....
Don't worry though you do get a bit of a break when he's singing the verse...(Phew!!)

I haven't counted how many times he says it throughout the song, but its aloooottttttt!!!

Apologies in advance when you wake up sore tomorrow.......

Go on make yourself proud!!!

#GetSquatting!!!!

Mr Levi Roots...

So after making a huge success within the sauce industry (the reggae reggae sauce obviously)
Levi Roots or his birth name of Keith Valentine Graham, opened a Caribbean restaurant back in November 2015 at the Westfields Stratford (East.....whoop whoop!) in London.

Not sure why it took me a while to reach there considering its only down the road from me, but me and my brother from another mother went one night after work for a bite eat.

Firstly, you cannot book a table of less then 6 I think.  So when me and Zac got there it was rammed (we went on a Friday)  so what they did is told us to go off and they will text me when our tables available.  That wasnt too bad for us cause we wasnt in a rush or anything so we went off and had cocktails at Las Iguanas which were lush...

So for starters I had the bajan fish cakes which were....OMG.....loved em!
Zac had the Jerk Wings....which I can also say were great as we nicked one off each others plate.

Now on to Mains....

Now I always say to myself when I got to Caribbean restaurants that I should try something different. As being half Jamaican I've had enough Jerk Chicken to last me a lifetime.
So what did I order??? The bloody Jerk Chicken!!!LOL...It was good though....so I cant complain

Zac had Jerk ribs which he said were good to...

Heres us with Mr Levi himself...along with our dishes......yum....

Looking forward to going back especially for those Bajan Fish cakes!!

CARIBBEAN SMOKEHOUSE
